Can we make an Issue Type useable only in a single project?

We have a specific Issue Type that we would like to be used only in a specific project, instead of globally. Could it be done? Thank you in advance for your help.

You have to make sure the specific issue type is applied ONLY to the issue type  scheme that is associated to the single project and no other issue type schemes.

Thanks all. That's exactly what has been done, but is there a way to prevent another admin to add an Issue Type to another Issue Type Scheme? Something like "locking" an Issue Type? I couldn't thing on any other way that's why I asked.

Sure - just remove the Issue Type from all of the other Issue Type Schemes that currently contain it.
