Hello All,
This is for Jira server.
Is it possible to "Show" some of the fields on "View" Issue screen even when they do not have any value entered?
For ex: Story point fields, it shows up on view screen only when it has a value entered while creating or editing the ticket.
Is it possible to get this field on view issue screen and edit it directly from the view screen and enter value if it does not have value in the first place?
Sure thing, you just have to drag the field above the dividing line of the screen configuration.
Do this for all the request types where you want to show the field.
Good luck!
Hi @Paul Wiggers , I am on Jira server and not sure steps provided by you are applicable here. Can you please provide a screenshot of what you are referring to? That will be helpful.
Thanks!

ok..I got it @Paul Wiggers , what you were trying to say :) thanks! That works. It works for story points field but not for "Team" field which is portfolio field. Any suggestion for that?

@Leena Siddamshetty I am not sure if those are applicable to the server edition as well. I am only using Cloud :)
Let's see if we can get this solved. Putting the fields above the line should work for all fields, regardless of their type. Unless, they are system fields that we cannot modify.
Can you provide a screenshot of an issue where the field is shown so that we know which field you are talking about?

Not currently for the on-prem jira.
