we have planned to integrate jira cloud with external AD. Before rolling into production we want to test that in a staging environment. Can we use the free cloud jira version for testing that or need to purchase a cloud subscription.
Hello Ramani,
Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
Atlassian access doesn't require any specific license, so you can use it on Free, Standard or Premium plan.
If you have any other questions regarding this matter, please let us know.

Hi @Angélica Luz ,
Thanks for your reply. Can you also please explain, whether i can use the free plan (both jira and atlassian access) for testing this AD integration functionlity.

Hi @ramani_chandran, you can test Atlassian access for 30 days, after that, it will be billed. Currently, Atlassian access doesn't have a free plan like Jira, Confluence, Trello, Bitbucket and others.
So, you can integrate your free site with AD and if you like, after 30 days you can either buy or unsubscribe Atlassian access.

Thanks Angelica. Also i need one more information. When we are implementing this AD integration in production, we need to rollback if something goes wrong during the implementation in change window.
So we are in a plan to test that in our test instance first. Do you have any idea on how to rollback the implementation from atlassian side, during ADFS integration.

It's not possible to rollback the implementation, the only option available is to completely remove SAML.
