Can you add a category column to the timeline?

Hi, I am new to Jira this week and wondered if you can add a category column to the timeline at all please? Thanks

Hi @Lisa Snuggs 

No there are no option to extend or enhance the Timeline view.

You could look into marketplace planning/roadmap apps that will deliver the functionality or go to the Atlassian premium plan where you  get the plans option in the toolset, this is Atlassians roadmap functionality
