We've using the Jira Product Discovery (Free plan), and it looks like I can only assign ideas to full licensed JPD users. We have other licensed Jira Software users who are in the JPD contributors group, but none of those people show up in the Assignee selection dropdown. Is there a way to assign an idea to someone who has contributor access but is not a full licensed JPD user?
I do already have Delivery tickets linked to the ideas, and those tickets can be assigned to the appropriate people with no problem. I was just hoping to be able to add the assignee field to some of my JPD views as a way of showing who currently "owns" the idea.
Turns out I can accomplish this using a custom field of the People type.
Thanks for your input!

Yep if it's just for reporting - custom field solution is perfect!

Hi @Tim Kannenberg,
That seems rather unlikely, if you ask me, since contributors are read onlu users with the following additional permissions:
creating ideas or adding comments, insights, votes, or reactions.
I haven't tried, but since they can't edit issues, I don't think that would make much sense.
Hope this helps!
