Can you give me a tip to get a report of tasks done by a development team for a week?

Miriam Cam October 1, 2021

I have already reviewed several of the Marketplace tools, create some dashboards with filters, but none of them work for me, my organization is super agile, so the sprint reports do not work for us.

Hi @Miriam Cam

How do you know the work is done by the "development team" and which week do you want to know?  And what do you mean be "week": a rolling week or a calendar week?

For example, let's say the team works in one project and you want to know about the last calendar week.  This JQL would return the issues:

project = myProject AND resolved >= startOfWeek("-1") AND resolved < endOfWeek("-1")

You could report this with an export, saved filter subscription, show it on a dashboard, etc..

You may find more information on advanced JQL functions here:

Kind regards,
Bill

Hi @Miriam Cam

If you would be interested in paid add-on, you can try out our app

Agile Tools : Epic Tree, Links Tree, Time in Status & Worklogs

The app provides the following features.

Worklogs & Time tracking Report :- Track time spent by resources with multiple filters / category / grouping features. Export to csv format is also available. You can filter based on worklogs time period as well.

Also there is a single place from where resources can log time for multiple issues for multiple days.

Along with this there are multiple other features like Time in Status, Links Hierarchy, Epic Hierarchy etc which the app provides.

Hello @Miriam Cam ,

Have you considered monitoring time logs? This way, you could monitor on which tasks your team has been working and how much time it took them.

You can click on the issue to open and view the Jira ticket, right from the report view. If you wish, you can also customize the report, ad JQL filters or add a dashboard gadget to suit your needs. So you could for example include in the report only the tickets that have a done status.

Hope it helps! Please feel free to check out our product on the Atlassian Marketplace.

Hi @Miriam Cam ,

Can you give more details on the requirements for the report?  Does the team work using scrum? If so, are the sprints 1 week long?  Does the team correspond only to one project and one Jira board? Thanks!

Miriam Cam October 20, 2021

Hi, we don't currently use sprints, our organization is more agile than that.
We have multiple teams working on various projects, we separate them by type, that is, a board for projects, another for bugs in production, another for errors that arise in QA, etc.

Yet the question stands... what are your requirements? What do you need to see in the report?
