Can you rename "Issue" to "Ticket"?

Joshua Hunt January 12, 2019

People get stuck on the word "Issue" having negative connotations, when they just want to request a page update, or a analytics report, etc.

Where are you wanting to change this. I expect the answer is no if you are on Server and definitely no on cloud. IMO, issues works better than tickets because issues is more generic and fits many different project types.

Thanks. It would be cloud. I hear you. If it's not easily configurable, getting others to conform isn't a problem. We all still say "ticket".

Hey Joshua,

while this isn’t applicable to you as you’re using cloud, we use https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1210980/inproduct-translation-for-jira?hosting=server&tab=overview for server (Tasks instead of Issues). Not aware of any cloud equivalents though.

For what its worth, our folks use issues, cards, tickets, work items, etc. interchangeably. Everybody understands what they are talking about no matter which term they use.  :-)
