Cannot connect JIRA Cloud with Confluence Server

Mateusz Kiliński January 18, 2020

Hello. I made a migration from Jira Server to JIRA Cloud. Now i am trying to connect new JIRA Cloud with old Confluence Server instance. I note that earlier the Confuence worked with Jira Server without any problems. Now, when I'm trying add a Confluence URL to JIRA, there is an error: No response was received from the URL you entered - it may not be valid. Please fix the URL below, if needed, and click Continue. When I am trying to make a connection from Confluence, it creates a link to JIRA, next there is a redirection to JIRA Cloud and again the same error in JIRA. Is is possible to integrate JIRA Cloud with Confluence Server 7.2.1 ?

Sounds like a firewall issue.  Have you followed the steps here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/link-to-server-products-from-cloud-744721656.html

Make sure that you ensure that all of the items below the requirements for linking to server products have been validated, specifically that it accessible to the web and the proper ports are open.

Probably yes, now I have forwarded one port, 443. Unfortunately I can't find on mentioned page the port range to forward...

Here is a list of ports that Atlassian applications use.  https://confluence.atlassian.com/kb/ports-used-by-atlassian-applications-960136309.html  For cloud I believe it is just standard 443.  Also on server you can change the ports or run it behind a proxy so those ports might not be applicable.
