Hi Guys,
I have the following problem:
We have a Jira project in which saving the issue after editing is not possible.
I have assigned myself all the rights of the project in addition to my administrator rights.
However, when I try to save, no error appears from Jira, but a message from the browser that all unsaved changes will be lost as soon as I leave this "page".
I then have the choice between leaving the page and canceling.
In this case no changes are saved, no matter if dropdown field or free text.
Since saving is possible in all other projects, I do not assume this is a bug in Jira.
Has anyone else had such experiences and possibly the reason or in the best case a solution?
Greetings Erik
Hi Guys,
The cause of the problem was a bug in the plugin "Smart Attachments for Jira" in version 2.14.11. In the affected projects, the option "Display the field on forms as..." was affected under the "Category Schemes".
As soon as the value "single drop area with category selection box" was selected, issues could no longer be saved after they had been edited. With the option "multiple drop areas" saving is possible again.
I had written to the support of the manufacturer and they have now officially taken up the bug and will fix it in the next version.
Best,
Erik
Hi @Erik ,
please could you share a screenshot of your edit screen?
Please verify that you have not hidden some fields that should appear on the screen trhough "Configure fields" button on the top right of edit screen.

Hi Fabio, thanks for your reply.
I'm sorry, i cant share a Screenshot of my edit Screens because of company policies.
Nethertheless I can confirm, that there are no hidden fields on the screen.
I double checked that.

Please confirm that you are using Edit button (the first button on the left of issue bar) and not a transition button.

Did you try to clean browser cache or using another browser?

it's a weird situation. Plase check the log file (atlassian-jira.log in the home folder at jira server side).

I have checked the logs and there are no abnormalities here either.
I have also checked the permission scheme, but since I have also given me all roles for the corresponding project, it can't be because of that either.
I also performed a network analysis (with the browser developer tools) and also here no abnormalities are observed.
