Change Jira System Encoding from Cp1252 to UTF-8

I have added the following JVM parameter "-Dfile.encoding=utf-8" to the setenv.bat file and have restarted Jira, amd have followed all documents online how to update the system encoding but it is still Cp1252 and I can't work out why this isn't changing. Please may someone help!

Hi Callum,

You can try set "-Dfile.encoding=utf-8 -Dsun.jnu.encoding=UTF-8"  JVM arguments .
