Changing screen schema will loose the issue types data?

Hi, Currently we have 1 screen schema associated to 5 different issue types and I want to separate out issue types so that each issue types will have separate screen schema with a new screen.

If I change to a new screen schema with a new screen ( I will keep few old fields as it is and will add new fields to a new screen), do you think I will lose the data for old issues?

Please let me know your thoughts.

No. The screen schemes are just a collection of screens for issue types. They have nothing to do with the data in the fields, only presenting the fields to the user.

Changing Screens, Screen Schemes, or Issue Type Screen Schemes will not modify any data at all.
