Changing value of a custom field

Hello,

I need to change custom field type in software project (number field => text field), but in settings I didn't find possibility to do that.
Also was thinking about creating 2nd field and move values to that field, it also could be a solution.
Is there any way to do that?

Hi @Artemiy 

Welcome to the Community!

As far as I know, there isn't a way to change the field type once it is created.

If you wanted to move the information from the old field to the new one, you could set up an automation rule to do this - if you set it to happen on a schedule then once the rule has executed you could delete it.
