Do we need to enable or disable any option with in the checklist configuration add on. How to accomplish this without being select all other options.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Ganesh,

If you are using Checklist for Jira App, then I've got ideas how you could achieve that.

Make sure your workflow validator validates that All Mandatory Items are Checked. This way, you can go in your options and make the desired options optional, so those won't be required to be checked on transition.

Kind regards

@Maxime Lefebvre _Okapya_  You are right, This validator "All Mandatory Items are Checked" has been enabled on workflow. I suspect this is stopping us to accomplish my issue. I need to look for override this option. If I select one option I m unable to execute the transition to go to next status because of this validator (all fields are mandatory error throwing). Do we any jql query or condition to override this?

Kindly suggest. Thanks.

You can add JQL conditions on your workflow validator, please refer to "Conditional rules" in our documentation.

What I was trying to explain in my previous post is that you can change which item is mandatory or optional.

Let's say you have these Global Items (Options):

- Run tests
- Vulnerability scanner
- Deploy

and you only want Run tests to be mandatory, you can go edit your Global Items and change the two other items to optional. Here's a screenshot showing how to do so:

(The UI might be different if you are using an older version of Checklist)

Hi,

I am a Customer Care Specialist and I represent Multiple Checklists for Jira addon. The situation which you are experiencing is something with which our users were struggling as well. To accommodate this need, we have added additional validation options for our addon.

1) Validators can be set for all checklist or for only one specific title of a checklist.
2) To require that all checklist items has set status before Jira issue can be transferred.

I believe those options would come in handy in this case. Thus, I encourage you or anybody else that might need such a solution to check out our app. There is a 30 days free trial available.
