Hello,
I have a field Due date that would always contain some date. Then I want to clear that field on a specific transition.
I tried to use post functions, so far I tried to set the Due date field to 'null', 'None' or just leave it empty. None of this worked.
How can I achieve that?
Thanks!
Hi Ani,
You should be able to chose the Clear Field Value post function and then select Due date.
Of course! Why didn't I think of that!
Thanks for unstucking me!

Hi,
I can't find the clear field value post function... I only have update issue field, which does not offer due date as a field that can be modified.
@John Funk, can you help me out, please?
Thank you,
Greg

Hi Gergely,
Are you using Cloud or Server/Data Center?
If Cloud, can you include a screenshot of the Post Functions available to you when you click on Add post function?

We are using SERVER v8.13.6.
Is this post function only available in Cloud? (I only just noticed the cloud tags for this thread)
Thank you

Ah, that's probably why. I don't use server, but I think that is the case. You might try Jira Miscellaneous Workflow Extensions (JMWE) add-on as it will provide you the functionality.

We don't have JMWE, but we do have Adaptavist Scriptrunner.
Maybe a script can be created to provide the necessary deletion of the field value.
Thank you, John, for your time!

Yes, you can always runa an automation rule with ScriptRunner or another tool to clear the field after the fact.
Good Luck!
