In our Jira we have issue statuses 'Resolved' and 'Closed' after it. Both of them are assosiated with resolution 'Resolved'. When I change status from Resolved to Closed, resolution and resolution date are updating.
Can I somehow prevent this updating because I would like to keep the date when this resolution was set the first time?
No. Why are you setting the resolution field twice? The normal practice is to set it only when you resolve the issue, which is normally at closure.
Developer Resolves the issue and Project manager Closes it after checking everything is ok.
I couldn't find out how the resolution is set so I don't know why it is happening two times, but our team would like to use the date when developers finish their work on issue, not when PM checks it.
I found transition properties from Resolved to Closed but I can't change them because the buttons on it are inactive. Looks like these are system settings and nobody must edit them (or I'm just not trying enough).

Is the project manager presented with the resolution field during the transition? If so, even if he doesn't change it JIRA will update the date/time.

PM just pushes the button Close, without any additional screens or fields

I have exactly the same issue but:
- I've checked the 6 x post functions and none of them updating resolution date
- I've checked the attached screen and the resolution date isn't on it
Is there anything else that I could check?

Probably you are reusing the same transition. Create a separate one without the resolution post function in transition options.
