Hello everyone,
I would like to consult you about a few issues on my own scenario in order to get your opinions.
First of all, I will switch from Jira Cloud product to Jira Data Center product. I have 2 sites on Jira Cloud. One of these sites has Jira service management product and projects. At the same time, customers submit their requests from the help desks on this site. But at the end of the day, I think I will need to combine these sites because I will only take a backup and transfer this backup file to the Jira data center. After I get the Jira help desk and projects on the other site, I will install the Jira data center by taking a backup only on that site.
I will perform cloud to cloud migration with “Copy product data”. Am I following the right way to migrate to the data center in this scenario. Can you share your thoughts with me?
Hello @TechComp
Are these sites in different organisations? If not, then I believe Jira and JSM will still be intact, you will not need to migrate Jira to JSM. When you do a Backup for Server, then that backup will have Jira Service Management projects as well, since JSM is also part of Jira ecosystem.
Hope this is helpful!
They are actually in the same organization, but both sites have a backup manager and when you go to that page
“Create a backup of your current jirasite-x.atlassian.net Jira data. You can keep this backup locally or import it into a different Jira cloud site or Jira server instance.”
When you want to take backup in the other site
“Create a backup of your current jirasite-y.atlassian.net Jira data. You can keep this backup locally or import it into a different Jira cloud site or Jira server instance.”
Doesn't this mean that a separate backup is taken for both sites?
There is JSM in the site with the name jirasite-y, but there is no JSM product in jirasite-x.

Hi again @Anandhi Arumugam _Cprime_ ,
I tested on the free version. I created new site and I made a backup on two site. When I examined the entities file in the backup file, I saw that it completely backed up the sites separately. Jira included JSM in the backup only for its own site.
