Hello...I have a question... I am using Jira software...Is there any way to make Comment Required Validator on transition screen with free plugin? I want to use Free plugin or App?
Thanks for your reply
@fereshte kh I am sorry but I don't think there is one for free. At least I couldn't find one.
You could insert a transition screen and have a field there asking the users to enter a comment (and then the comment field will appear automatically below). This does not ensure that they will enter a comment but it will prompt them though.

Hi @Tehmina Aslam Click on the transition that you want the screen to appear on and a pop up window will open, click on Edit there:
Then choose your transition screen in the field "Screen" field and click Save:
Make sure to publish your workflow after this change:

Hi @fereshte kh ,
I do not use the server version, but I do know that the Cloud version has a built-in Field Required validator option. That might not be true with the server version. We also use a paid app called JWME which has a Comment Required validator, but I also know you don't want to pay for an app.
So I am not sure what all of your options are at this point.
