I created Components in Jira and then tried to assign them to already created Epics, but the Component field is not displayed or hidden.  How do I update existing records with the newly created Components?

Note:  This is the first time project has Components (after the fact the issues were already created).

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

hello @Harry Zolkower ,

You need to check your
- Field configuration to see if the components field is not hidden
 - as project admin goto project settings --> fields --> Components (if the field is hidden you need your jira admin's help to Show it on your project)
- You also need to make sure Components field is added to your create/edit screen
 - as project admin goto project settings --> Screens --> Edit Screen

If components field is not hidden and is on the required screens, you can goto your issue and add components
