We have Jira already in the cloud. They now want BitBucket in the cloud, but security wants to know how the communication between Jira and BitBucket is setup and are there ports involved. I know you can click Jira under Atlassian Integrations. Choose the Jira Cloud instance you want to integrate with your Bitbucket Cloud workspace and click Connect. Click Grant access to grant Jira Software access to your Bitbucket Cloud workspace. Click Grant access to grant Bitbucket access to Jira. What are the security settings in Jira and/or BitBucket are needed for this connection.
Hi @Sockobob
Could you elaborate more on the security settings you were looking for for the Bitbucket cloud and JIRA cloud integration?
Currently, this integration does not require any security configuration to works. The integration integrates using Oauth and sync/updates between product via the Webhook. There are no additional security requirements or configurations needed to integrate.
You can check our integration page for more information:
I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Syahrul
I think security is more about how will Bit Bucket cloud will monitor or prevent in coming access other than when it is the request from an out going request by Bit Bucket or Jira. Maybe it would be better if the security team and you communicated via email I'm not the one when it comes to security.
