Cost esimtate to incrase user numbers

Hello,

We are currently evaluating Jira but are unsure about the user numbers and considering starting with ~50 users initially. We were told by a consultant, that it is quite expensive to switch the number of users so we should start with a larger user base initially.

What I was wondering was, what it would actually cost (rough estimate) to increase the user numbers from say 50 to 100 or 100 to 250.

I would be massively grateful for anyone who could provide me with an answer.

You might also include consideration of costs of all the non-free plugins your organisation may need as well. These are detailed separately for each plugin in the marketplace, https://marketplace.atlassian.com/

That said, vanilla JIRA would suffice at the start (in my opinion) and there are many useful plugins that are free.

Unfortunately, a vanilla Jira will not suffice, since we need to do some sophisticated resource management and time tracking, across several project portfolios (currently looking at BigPicutre/Tempo). But thanks for the tip!

When using BigPicture, I would suggest the following

• For parallel sprints and program management, consider BigPicture Enterprise
• BigGantt to perform gantt and export to MS Project, if needed
• BigTemplate to export to other office documents, if needed
• There will be a performance impact to your server, so ensure your server has enough grunt.

There are also alternatives like Jira Portfolio and Jira Align, etc. Highly recommended to evaluate various plugins if you have time.
