Hi Team,
I am trying to set up a Jira mail Handler that will create a new issue based on an incoming mail and create a comment on the same issue if new incoming mail subject or body contain a certain incident ID matching the previous one.
I have connected a mail server and created a mail handler JEMH.
I have setup a profile with project mapping and field processor (pre-processing) based on INC (INC[0-9]+) regexp since the incident ID is the unique identifiable key.
But the incoming trigger a new ticket everytime but no comment as expected.
Any hint/ could anyone try that already/ kindly assist?
Hi @Koffi FIADJIGBE ,
For the convenience of converting emails into tasks in Jira, my team has developed Email&Tasks: Jira Cloud for Gmail .
It allows you to manage your mail easily and simply, and we've also developed an extension for the Chrome browser that performs Gmail functions in any tab. It is also capable of detecting inbox tasks, their types, etc.
For example:
This is a package offer, meaning that by using the app, you get 2 in 1 - both the extensions and the app in your Gmail.
Here is a 30-day trial to check if the app is good for you!
Hi @Iryna Komarnitska_SaaSJet_ ,
Thanks for the input, i am actually looking for a solution that would work for custom email services (not for gmail per say). do you have anything in mind ?
