Hello,
I am trying to create a lookup field from a table based on a specific field.
Field: "Summary Code"
Fields to lookup: Description, Vendor, Quantity to Order, Contact Details
The table would be in a shared folder on our VPN unless there is an easier way to do this in JIRA.
Is this possible?
Hiii @Preston Warden
If you have another database you can use nfeed plugin to search in database as the query given in advance.
Everything I have is in an excel sheet currently, but it needs to be ported into something more robust. Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks @Ashkan Malekly for the Elements Connect (new name for nFeed) recommendation!
@Preston WardenElements Connect can fetch data from files such as as XML, JSON or CSV, as well as lots of other kinds of data sources (REST API, SQL, LDAP.....). You can set up templates as well so the fields you need to lookup are displayed like you need them. This picture shows the final result of an Elements Connect field with a template header, body and footer.
You can get details on how to configure Elements Connect here:

Hope that helps

Thank you @Julie d_Antin _Elements_ , I will be reviewing if this is what I would be looking for (hopefully). If so, I can implement this in multiple areas depending on price.

For the specific documentation you will probably need, you can consult how to configure a JNDI datasource here as well as read this FAQ on how to create a dependent field connected to a CSV datasource.
