I have 2 workflows in my Jira project : one for bugs and one for evolutions. I would like to create another workflow that will link these two worflows on the dev activity aspect.

The aim is to implement a Kanban based on this third workflow.

Is it possible ?

Thanks in advance,

@Satc Gyllchrist
Boards are just ways to view issues and each board has its own status management configuration.

As long as the corresponding workflow status from bugs/ evolutions/ Kanban intersect in the column management configurations of the boards, then you can see (or not see) the issues as they move through the workflow.

  • Must have closed/ done as the last column
  • If a status is not in assigned to any column, then issues with the corresponding status will not visible

@Satc Gyllchrist I am not sure what you are meaning. You can add columns, map statuses to columns, or add issue count constraints. The statuses from the workflows must be in a column to make issues visible on your boards. Your boards can have different columns, but status should still be mapped.
Ex.

Workflow for Bug = {B-To Do, B-In Progress, B-Done}

  1. Kanban Board A with "columns" and {statuses}
    1. "K-To Do" {In Review, Sprint Ready, B-To Do}, "K-In Progress" {In Dev, QA, UAT, B-In Progress}, and "K-Done" {Done, Complete, B-Done}
  2. Scrum Board A with columns and {statuses}
    1. "S-Sprint Backlog" {Sprint Ready, B-To Do}, "S-In Development" {In Dev, B-In Progress}, "QA" {QA, UAT}, "Complete" {Done, Complete, B-Done}
