Does Jira already have a backlog item for making templates available via the 'Create' button at the top of Jira backlog?
Currently one can use the templates only via the left side 'Create from template', which means extra steps for people creating the stories.
I'd like to propose making the buttons available also via 'Create' and/or vote of the suggestion if it already exists in Jira backlog.
like Jack I do not see this in my instance - is this probably coming through an App?
If so, your suggestions being all valid they would need to be addressed with the third party vendor.
Could you please let us know which App this is provided by?
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Daniel
@Daniel Ebers , thanks , I didn't realise it's an add-on, but you seem to be right, I can find it under 'apps'. I can't find a name of it, I see it only as 'Create from template'. I'll ask my IT Helpdesk which vendor it is and how to get in touch with them.

Interesting…. What does Create from template actually do? I don’t have this on any of my current SW projects.

It lets you create & use story templates, so your team members can easier remember filling all the info (we've added 'as a user, i want..., so...' and headers like 'screenshots', 'url' etc.)

Hi Anita,
I suspect the addon may be from Devinti - issue-templates-for-jira . I suspect that Atlassian doesn’t allow modifications to the Create button but just a guess in any event if you want to make such a suggestion then you should reach out to the vendor via the links provided in the link above.
cheers!

Hi Anita,
did you find a solution to modifify the create button?
Best regards Birgit
