Hi there!
I want to create issues from E-Mails in different jira-projects, with the same incoming E-Mail-address.
Do I have to create a mail handler for each project? Or do I have to create a Mail-Server with its own E-Mail-Adresse for each project?
Email server A → mail address A@project.com → Mail handler for project A
ANDEmail server B → mail address B@project.com → Mail handler for project B
Are there any examples for that situation?
Best regards,
Dirk
@Dirk Fehse You will need an email address for each project. You can learn more here: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/create-issues-and-comments-from-email/
Hey @Brant Schroeder ,
thank you for your fast feedback.
We have many projects in Jira, we can't create an E-Mail-Address for every project, so this would not be our way. Is there any other possibility for creating issues in many projects by E-Mail?
Or is Jira supporting E-Mail-Aliases like gMail "myname+alias@domain.com?
Best regards,
Dirk

I have never tried gmail aliases. The email handler associates the email with the default project when it is being created. I believe the app JEMH allows you to do more so you might take a look at it.

Thanks, @Brant Schroeder !
Perhaps we will try it, but there is another problem. 15 persons will use this feature (internal staff), but we have 40-50 customers in our Jira instance, too. They well never use it, but we have to pay for everybody.
USD 37.50 for 15 users and USD 125.00 for 50.... :(
Is there a way to just pay for a group of users?
Best regards,
Dirk
