Create subtask -> Button not working

Hi all,

I'm struggling to create subtasks in our jira. 

1. The issue type sub-task is available in screens, schema and workflows for the project
2. the button is available in the layout of task/story
3. when I click it, nothing happens
4. the buttons for "Attach" etc work as expected

That said, I'm a little bit lost here and would like to get your ideas on this...

Hi John, it's classic (and I'll stay classic due to big picture integration :))

:-)  Staying with Classic myself.

You might try the Old Jira Issue View and see if you can create it from there.

Just stumbled into another hint: I tried to convert an existing issue to a subtask:

and it comes back with this outstanding message:

Where is the missing checkbox to acivate the subtasks...?!

That's it - the subtasks in general were disabled. Interesting that everything can be configured though the main-switch is disabled :)

try to check if the subtasks are activated in your Jira settings . 

Go to Jira -> settings -> issues -> subtasks

Hi Assia, yes - the subtasks are active for the schema used in the project (SC-Issues Type Schema)
