Created a filter, but not all issues are pulling through, albeit meeting all the filter criteria.

Anneliese Pretorius January 10, 2025

Other than going through each project manually, there is no way for me to identify the missing items. Why does this happen / how do I prevent?

Hello @Anneliese Pretorius

Can you share with us the filter?

How many results is it getting, total? If it is getting 1000 issues total, that is the maximum that can be retrieved by a filter.

If you can provide us with the filter, can you also provide us with a screen image of an issue that you think should be included but is not? Then we can compare that issue to the filter.

It could also be that the filter you created does not actually get what you intended. Can you describe to us what you want to retrieve?

Status filter includes "To Do"

I am trying to create a filter for planning / scheduling purposes related to Business labeled projects per assignee.

Filter to consider all Projects, Tasks and Sub-Tasks, that are not "Done"

The filter you are showing us is the Basic view. Notice the +9 in the Status pull-down? Subsequently we can't see all the details of the filter.

Can you please click on the JQL button, and then paste a copy of the full JQL statement?

Think I found the issue on the filter as it does not include all options selected. Will change this and assess the impact.

Also, why am I not able to edit the filter I created - not sure what setting to change to allow.Editing.JPGLabels.JPG

Hello Anneliese

How are you coming to the conclusion that you can't edit the filter? Can you provide a more complete screen image and point out or explain what you are doing that is leading you to that conclusion?

Anneliese Pretorius January 14, 2025

Hi Trudy,

I only have the option to copy the filter. I am not able to save any of the edits and if I add criteria they disappear once I refresh.

On the list view, when selecting "Edit" from the the 3 dots, I only have the option to edit the name and access details:

In the detailed view, I cannot find an edit function, only the "Copy Filter" option:

Regarding editing a filter:

Can you provide a full image of the top portion of your search screen showing the name of the filter and the criteria? Example:

Make a change to the filter and then execute the filter by pressing enter or clicking the spyglass. Do you see on the right the Copy filter option change to Save filter? Or do you see a Save button appear next to the filter name? Our UIs appear to be a bit different so we may be on a different schedule for receiving updates to the product.

After making a change to the filter you have to execute the search in order for the Save option to become available.

Thank you Trudy.....the below worked. Save Filter option now available:

Make a change to the filter and then execute the filter by pressing enter or clicking the spyglass.
