Would anyone have any idea how to solve please?
I have MVP Candidates, To Do, In Progress, Done.
MVP Candidates represents a proportion of the backlog to focus on.
MVP Candidates has the same qualities and setup as To Do.
Stories and Tasks assigned to MVP Candidates don't show up as they do in To Do.
Many thanks,
Neil

SO @[deleted] so what are your saying is that the stories and tasks are not appearing on the board which have the status "MVP candidates"
Can you also share the screenshot of the "General section" and "active view" of the board.

That's a pretty strange issue. The first screenshot shows 6 issues in the column MVP1 candidates but none of them are visible on the board, can you also make sure that there isn't any quick filter selected by default in the quick filter dropdown on the active board view.

Could you open the issue filter in issue navigator view and add the criteria
status = "mvp1 candidates" to the query project = CTP
then see the issue keys, also check if those issue keys appearing in the backlog or not and if they are appearing in the backlog then try adding this status under the "todo" column as one column in board can have multiple statuses and then see if they appear or not on the board.
Also, I hope there is no issue security scheme applied to those 6 issues and can you also share the screenshot of the underlying workflow.

yes they are in the backlog, in the detail edit screen I can also see them assigned to MVP Candidates, they have the correct status.
its just the board MVP1... where I can't see these.

The reason you can't see them is that though they are in the backlog but it seems they are not added in the active sprint. "CTP sprint 2" as the 2nd screenshot you shared gives the view of the CTP sprint 2 thus they have to be added in the sprint in order to be visible in the active view of the board.
Please share a screenshot of your backlog just to confirm the above hypothesis.

they are in the backlog, how do I view the boards as normal and not in the sprint 2 as shown please?

For normal board you would need to use "Kanban boards" as you are currently using scrum board thus you only see issues in the active view which are in the active "sprint" section of the backlog.
