I have created a Next-gen project and successfully experimented with the new Roadmap feature...
I have then created another Next-gen project and this time, through the advanced settings, I chose to share the settings with an existing project (that is not a Next-gen project)...
Then when I visit the project settings for this new project, the 'Features' and 'Roadmap' are not available... It appears to create it as an original project type...
Can you confirm that this is expected operation and if I want to share settings with an existing project I will basically have to build it from the ground up, applying all of the issue types and workflows manually?..
Hello,
That is right. If you create a project with shared configuration, a classic project is created.
Many thanks... It would be useful to know that up front in the documentation, spent a couple of hours trying to work this out...
Do you know of any other gotcha's i.e. If you create a Next-gen project, can you then skip the 'share settings' bit and go through and then apply all of the necessary workflows. issue types etc. successfully to mirror an existing project?..

No, you can not do it. You can not apply workflows and issue type schemes to a next-gen project.
