Creating a new Kanban Board in an existing project and it's populating itself.

Sagar Bhatia July 20, 2022

Hi community,

I am new to Jira, I created a new Kanban board in an existing project but it populated itself. I don't want those issues on the board. I have new issues to add to it. What can I do to clear the existing filters?

Thanks

Sagar

HI @Sagar Bhatia ,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!!

For changing the board filter you need to,

  1. Click Projects, then select the relevant project.

  2. Select more (...) in the top right corner > Board settings.

  3. In the General tab:

    • To change the filter's JQL query, click Edit Filter Query.

      • Then select from the dropdown menus, and select Save (located near the top of the screen beside the filter name) to save the modified filter.

    • To change the filter's name, description, or shares, click Edit Filter Shares

Atlassian has created very detailed documentation on how to add new filter to board or edit existing filter in Jira Board.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Mayur
