Creating a project with shared configuration does not copy the Project type

Brian Parris April 13, 2018

Using JIRA Software Cloud

When trying to create a new project with a shared configuration, all of the schemes are copied but the new project that is created from the shared configuration is a basic project instead of a scrum project like the original.   Seems like a bug. Any recommendations?

Hi @Brian Parris,

Could I clarify with you what functionality are you missing in the new project (Basic Project) that is present in the existing project (Scrum Project)?

Thanks

The Picture of TestProj (top)is the newly created project.  The Project FIL (bottom) is the configuration that I copied.  Notice that the TestPRoj does not have a backlog or Active sprint selections.  nobacklogorsprint.JPG

HI @Brian Parris,

That is expected behaviour as boards are not copied over when you share configurations.
