We've just recently created different Forms for users to open JIRA issues. I've noticed that on every issue created via one of the Form links, that labels are added to the label field. Is that normal? Can it be turned off or remedied?
Hey Susan,
Those are the default labels that help identify that these issues are created via forms.
We have a suggestion ticket to change this behaviour: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-92173
You can consider writing an automation rule to clear the labels upon issue creation. It should look something like this:

Much gratitude for the workaround, @Karan Sachdev ! Unfortunately, that workaround doesn't work so well if we're working with a free/basic Jira account (my current use case for some consulting work I'm doing). 😅
I +watched and added a comment to JRACLOUD-92173. This is very, very relevant to my interests, so I'd like to keep an eye on how this suggestion progresses!

With the Free plan, you need to be mindful of the automation usage limits (100 rules per month), so it may not be a feasible option.
You can consider using bulk update functionality to remove these labels (daily or once a week depending on the number of work items you receive via forms).
I understand this requires manual effort, but would be better than having to clear the labels off each work item separately.
Thanks!
