Hello :),
i need your help.
We have a JIRA Server with an internal Directory and a Crowd Integration. The internal Directory ist in first place, Crowd in second.
At the moment every User lies in crowd. Now we need a "backup user" for the case crowd is not available. Therefore I add a user to the internal Directory with the group "jira-administrators", but on grounds of something I can't login with this user into Jira.
Jira tells me that this User or pw is not correct, but the credentials are...
Does anyone have an idea why this happens?
Have a nice day!
Hi,
just to make sure that I understand your configuration:
* First choice is Jira Internal
* Second choice is Crowd
* User, that doesn't exist in Crowd is created in Jira & added to group jira-administrators
* Login with that user is not possible
Is the group jira-administrators used for application access? I know this is a dumb question but sometimes only some Crowd groups are used for Jira application access.

I found this page from Atlassian
We use Crowd as SSO for all Atlassian services, so is it possible that a user created in the internal JIRA directory cannot work at all?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Well,
enabled SSO wasn’t mentioned in the question...
Follow the instructions in the linked page.

First of all, thanks for the support so far.
One more question about the SSO. We use Crowd, connected to our LDAP, for all Atlassian services. Is this already SSO or is SSO a special setting? I just assumed that that was the case when Crowd is used.
I don't have a lot of experience with Atlassian services and I slid into an existing setup as admin and am now trying to get used to it step by step.

Great, that you solved the problem! Please accept the answer, even if you found out by yourself. It would be nice, if you could outline your changes in the seraph-config.xml!
