Custom Status Field Not Appearing

I've added custom statuses to my Next-Gen project, but when I go to set the status only "To Do", In Progress" and "Done" appear. Why don't I see my other statuses?

Hello,

What you can see is not your custom field. It is a jira system field and statuses are taken from the board of the next-gen project. Look for your filed in the more option.

I figured it out. I had to go to the board and add a new column.
