Hello Jira fellows,
I have a question in regards project automation rule creation.
When I create the rule, there is an option to choose fields to set, but the fields I need - "programme team" does not appear in the list to choose from.
when creating the issue manually this custom field is available, but as you see it's not available when automating the creation of the issue.
Same with another custom field - story points, we are setting the rule to put "1" when creating the story, but when the automation is ran, it shows an error :
Can someone please advise how I can fix this? Or suggest a reason why this rule can't accept those custom fields to be set automatically.
Is the reason because they are custom fields?
any thoughts or advise are highly appreciated.
Hi Gloria,
Do a double check on the context for each field to be sure they are available for both the IM project and the Managed Change issue type.
Go to Settings > Issues > Custom Fields
Search for the field
Click the 3 dot menu on the right hand side and select Contexts and default values
Modify as needed.
Thanks a million John,
your suggestion worked just fine and solved my issue.
cheers,
Gloria
