Hi,

I am trying to move Issue from A to B , we have same custom fields defined in both project screens, while moving I do not see the custom field in project B to retain values. Please let me know what I am missing here ??

Regards,
Suma

Hi @Suma Pralhad Kustagi ,

please check that your custom field has the same context for both your project. Probably, Custom field has a context for Project A but not for Project B.

Hope this helps,

Fabio

Hi @Fabio Racobaldo _Herzum_ , I have checked the context as its the same field being used in both and available for Projects A and B in the context, also available for all issue types.

Have you checked the issue history if something has changed to the value?

It will contain a list of changes such as project->project, status->status, including fields. So you might be able to find out if the value was changed. If nothing happened to it, then it sounds that the field is missing from the view screen in project B. If something did, then you would either see it on the Move dialog where it would ask you what to do with the value (i.e. "retain" as you mentioned), or there is some automation resetting that value somewhere. Jira will not normally just drop the value with move without asking you.

@Radek Dostál I see that in Project A the value was changed few days back ..Is it because of that ?? Does it should be kept as default ??
