Hi there,
suddenly four (4) custom filed, created for a specific project, are now in the drop down list of the burndown chart when you switch the measurement from story points to Issue Count, etc.
I've no idea ho to hide such fields, even if I've managed them in the administration area.
Any clue or hint to understand what should happened?
You can't hide them, the burndown charts simply list time-estimate plus every numeric field that the board might be able to use.
Nic Thank you.
So, if I understood correctly, anytime I create a numeric custom filed, this is listed in the the burndown charts.
Is it correct?

Yes, all numeric fields are considered.

I have just come across the same issue. I have configured the custom field so that it is only for a specific project yet it still appears in the drop down list in the burn down report. Is there no way to remove it?

@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- does this apply to all types of CFs or just Numeric CFs? Is there any official link from Atlassian?

Again, the burndown charts simply list time-estimate plus every numeric field that the board might be able to use.
Out of the context of a project, a chart can not know what fields may or may not be available to it, so it has no choice but to present you with the options of all numeric fields. (And they cannot logically work with non-numeric fields, so they there is no point offering you them)

Thanks a lot @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- for the clarification! Another follow up question: I have a few fields which are non-numeric(Single list - single choice) but the end user still see them in the drop down of ‘Report- Single Level Group By Report’ even though they aren’t in the scope of Project. Is this expected? If so, is there a way that we can avoid?

Hi Guys, here is a link of Configuring estimation and tracking which also talks about the estimation and numeric Custom Fields, "Estimation can be based on any numeric custom field in your Jira system."
Here is a feature request JRASERVER-77795 regarding the reports (Pie Chart Report and Single Level Group By Report) to allow users to organize issues by a Statistic Type(mainly for custom fields) parameter.
