Customizable Assignee name in Issue Card Layout in Scrum Board

The swimlane being used for our project is based on EPIC. However, when we get into issue cards under an EPIC in Scrum Board, the assignee name that is displayed is very small and one can hardly read the initials used to depict an assignee. 

Is there a different customization possible to display assignee name in a Card layout in Scrum Board? I am looking for an OOB solution, not any plug-in.

• Go to ••• > Board settings and click Card layout.
• Add or delete fields as desired.

BTW: Cards can be configured to show up to three extra fields.

There is no option call Card Layout anywhere.
