Customize My Notifications As a Watcher

Is there a way to edit my notifications for jira issues that I’m added as a watcher to receive notifications only for specific type of events?

for example, I would like to be notified when someone leaves a comment or when Issue is assigned, but I dont like to receive a notification when issue type is changed or when a sprint is added to the issue.

@Alexander Pappert  Thanks. In this case, I will have to skip many notifications. Is there a better way to look at notifications other than the small window when we click on the bell icon? There are so many notifications that I receive daily that I need to mark some of them as read and left some others as unread until I get into them. It's hard to work with the current notification small pop-up window. Thanks!

I guess a better question is "Can I search and filter my Watcher notifications?"

no, you can only watch all changes

you could use addons like automation, to send mails on specific triggers (only assigned, not on sprint added).

but there you need to specify the issues with some JQL search. could be possible with some extra created user picker field (let's call it watchers2). then automation would send mails only to users from the field watchers2, if assignee changed
