Hello Jira Community,
I am running into an issue with DUEDATE on my tasks/Bugs.
The due date does not appear by default when creating a task/bug. It is part of the of the screens and the screens are part of the project. But for some reason, the field does not appear in the sprint view (on the right hand) but it does appear in the "Edit" pop-up.
I can take all the help I can get.
my best guess would also be what Kristjan said - that a user has unselected the Due Date field.
In case you have an admin account (from your screenshot I think you have) you can use the "Where is my field". In many cases Jira reports clearly on 'why' the field is not there.
The blog article describes it better than I could - also with screenshots, you could test if this helps getting insight on why the field is just not there.
Regards,
Daniel
PS: from the screenshots I think it is rather a Jira Server than a Jira Cloud plan.
Have to checked the Field Configuration for the task/bug on that project?
Maybe the field is hidden there...

Hello Kristjan,
I did, and it seems that the screen that we are using has it as a system field. very weird.

Hmmm, is the field hidden on users preference? (Edit screen on a ticket, far right is Configure Fields)

@Roland Nassim , the due date field is on create screen ? it is required ?
Usually jira doesn't show empty fields on screen.

@Carlos Faddul It is not a required field, but I tested it where I added a date (in order not to leave it blank) at the point of the bug creation and it still does not appear.

Very strange this.
Can you pin the field on screen maybe ?
Or can you create an automation ? (to get the duedate field and comment on issue with this date or plus days in de present day to due date and posteriorly change the duedate (or clear the field) (it is not the best pratices but....it will work) )
In my service management, the field duedate appear in "more fields" like in the software projects.
