Date auto update for linked and inter dependent Jira Tickets?

Mah Jabeen November 3, 2021

What is the required configuration to enable auto date update on a successor issue if the Predecessor is delayed?

Hello @Mah Jabeen

Welcome to the community.

What have you done to establish the predecessor/successor relationship between issues? Are you doing this through the built in Roadmaps functionality? If so, are you using Basic Roadmaps available in the Standard subscription for Jira, or Advanced Roadmaps available in the Premium subscription for Jira?

If you are not using the built in roadmaps functionality for this, then we need to know how you are relating your issues.

Hi @Trudy Claspill ,

Thank you for the prompt response. I have established Finish to start relationships between the interdependent tasks.

Yes, I'm using the built-in Advanced Roadmaps feature.

I have created a plan, but when I update date for a predecessor, this successor date doesn't change. Your help in understanding and fixing the gap this will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

mahajbeen

Disclaimer: I've not used Advanced Roadmaps. I only know what can be found in the documentation and other posts

Have you looked at the Auto-schedule feature of Advanced Roadmaps to see if that addresses your use case?

Thank you for the response but the Auto schedule Feature is not working to fix the gap.

Can I get connect anyone export on the Advanced road Map?

Why has no-one responded to any tickets on this?! It's very frustrating that this doesn't work.
