We have a free / trial Jira account. Two of us need to disable or delete one of our accounts we added to access the Jira project. For example, I have a Gmail account that I want to keep using to access a Jira project, and another email account I want to completely remove from the project, but also from Jira itself. I appreciate this could be a 2-step process. We want to stop getting Jira notification emails to our old / unwanted email address that was linked to Jira. We don't need the same notifications going to 2 email addresses for one person. Plus, the name names are showing up twice in lists when assigning tasks / backlog items. This shouldn't be so difficult. It shouldn't be a paid feature do basic user management.
Hi @Kyle Booth
Welcome to community!
Have you already tried to remove the not needed account? -> https://support.atlassian.com/user-management/docs/remove-or-suspend-a-user/#Remove-a-user
"tried". That seems to be the M.O. for all things Jira.

That link is missing a step. When you click the ... (more actions) button, you need to click show details, then on THAT page, click ... in the top right corner, and that's where the remove user option appears.
