Default Dates View
I am trying to remove a custom date field from the Jira default issue view so that it shows up under the tab I created. There is a 'release' tab that should be showing because the 'estimated deployment' date is populated, but instead, Jira puts it under the default 'dates' area. Is there a way to change this?

what is the type if date? If that is date time picker, it will be shown under dates as in your screenshot. Try to make the field as Date picket only.
