Hi @Mahanth Prudhvi P

Here's the difference between the two:

Number Searcher:

Basic Search: This allows you to search for issues with an exact number value.

For example, if you have a custom field for "Estimated Cost," and you want to find all issues where the value is exactly "1000," the Number Searcher will allow you to do that.

It supports exact matches only, without the ability to specify ranges.

Number Range Searcher:

Range Search: This is more flexible as it allows you to search for issues where the number field falls within a specific range.

For example, you could search for all issues where the "Estimated Cost" is between "500" and "1500."

It supports both exact matches and ranges, making it useful when you need to filter results within a numerical range.

In short:

Number Searcher: Exact value searches.

Number Range Searcher: Allows searching within a range (e.g., from 100 to 500) or exact value.

If you're looking for flexibility in filtering numerical fields, Number Range Searcher is generally more versatile.

I wonder if this is still true.

I just created 5 fields to keep track of some financial numbers and I noticed they are created with the Number Searcher by default.

Since it makes sense to search for values being lower or bigger than something I gave it a try and it woks.
I can search for OPEX > 1000 for example without adapting the searcher.
