Differences between "Import via CSV" and "External System Import"

Does anyone know if documentation exists that highlights the differences in fields that you can map to via regular CSV import and importing a  CSV via the JIRA Import Wizard? I'm slowly finding out which fields you cannot map to in the regular CSV importer, but would really like to see a document that puts this in black and white.

What do you mean by regular CSV import? I guess it is the same.

@Alexey Matveev , i think by regular CSV import, @Claire Upham means the 'import issues from csv' option in the 'Issues' menu of JIRA. The other one 'External system Import' and choose csv is the jira admin option
