Difficulty searching issues only in this project

Hi, I'm looking to search issues (with a certain criteria) only with project name "ABC". But it also is searching for issues with that criteria in another project named "ABCDEF" giving me results with both these projects.  Using "" doesnt help.

How do i resolve this?

can you share your JQL that you are using to search? If you are using something linked below it should only find the specific project.

project = abc AND...

[A]

Tried both ways - 

Project="ABC" AND criteria

Project=ABC AND criteria

but still pulls ABC project and ABCDEF project with the criteria.

could you copy your complete JQL here? Maybe your criteria pulls in issues form other projects...
