Hi all,

Is it possible to easily disable JIRA notifications during sprint planning?

People get a lot of emails about issues being assigned, although as they're already aware of that because they attent the planning, we don't need to spam their inboxes. I know we could temporarily switch the notification scheme for the project but that's quite a hassle (especially since we're also doing projects with one-week sprints).

A nice on/off toggle somewhere close to the backlog screen would be nice.

Thanks!

Hi Rutger,

An option would be to leave the tickets unassigned .. depending on who get notified on issue creation (since they attend planning meeting). And the users can assign themselves the tickets, not getting a notification for their own changes.

Hi Edwin,

I don't really see that as an option, as part of our sprint planning is assigning work..

Yes, it's pretty impractical particularly at scale with many issues being moved/assigned etc generally by a singular team lead etc during the routinely sprint planning session.

This is not acceptable and just downright silly
