Hi,
We have few mail servers (all outlook accounts using secure_imap) created in Incoming Mail feature of Jira for our users to be able to create issues in Jira through emails.
I want to convert all of them to oauth integrations for 1) it is safer than basic authentication and 2) soon Microsoft will discontinue basic authentication.
My question. And sorry if it is silly one.
Do we need to create oauth integrations for as many mail servers for incoming mail? or just one and then just edit the existing mail servers to oauth.
and what is the meaning of client id and from where do we get that when configuring oauth integration.
regards
sanan
Hi @sanan sanan
Based on https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/integrating-with-oauth-2-0-1013845729.html you will configure OAuth configuration and use it in every mail account:
If you're configuring OAuth 2.0 to connect to a mail server, you can select your integration as the Authentication method for this incoming mail server. Go to Jira configuration > System > Incoming mail to configure your server.
