We simply followed your document for HTTPS domain verification. We have downloaded the file and upload to our website root folder. If we click "Verify Domain" button It throws Error
"There was an error trying to verify your domain via HTTPS. Check if your domain has a valid SSL certificate".
Hi @Mawgif Jira Admin ,
welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Does your domain has a valid SSL certificate? Because if not, you probably won't be able to use this method until the certificate is valid.

@Mawgif Jira Admin Thank you.
Are you able to view the html file in your browser correctly (= open the URL https://yourdomain.com/atlassian-domain-verification.html and see something like "This file is used by Atlassian Cloud to verify ownership of your domain name.")?
If yes and you have valid SSL certificate from a certificate authority, I would recommend you contact directly Atlassian support as I believe everything is ok and this should work.

@Mawgif Jira Admin I'm getting the same error trying to validate my (valid https/ssl cert) site. are you able to provide more info as to what support did to fix this issue or what changes you had to make to your site to successfully validate?
