As soon as an epic gets updated to Done by our automations (when all childs are done):
The epic isn't displaying anymore on the basic roadmap, although the settings of the roadmap view are as follows:
Any idea why that is? I've reviewed the filter used to fill the project board and the epic is still available in there.
Also we are nearing 3000 tickets but not there yet, as I read there may be such a limitation as well.
Hi @Patrick Russell ,
Could you provide screenshots of an affected epic and also of the roadmap overview? Maybe there are some more hints that lead to a solution.
Thanks in advance.
Best
Stefan

Are all the quick filters in the roadmap overview cleared? (not seen in screenshot)

mkay....could reproduce the behaviour on my side.
explanation (of my setting)
there are 2 "kinds" of status for an epic:
Epics in with workflow status Done are shown in Epic Panel and/or roadmap. As soon as I set the epic status to "Done" the Epic disappears from both views.
Could you please execute a JQL filtering for epic issues in the specific project and make column "epic status" available (if not visible already) to check back.
Best
Stefan

That was it indeed, thank you for your time.
Do you think this is expected behavior?

You are welcome. It´s my pleasure to help getting things running ;)
hmm....guess it "works as designed". Found that hint in another community post. Can´t really "explain" the logic of it either.

Which post was your source? I'm now looking at my automation and it only does this:
So it seems this sets both the workflow status and epic status to Done and I can't easily split them, can I?

Is this only happening when the transition is done by the automation rule? Or even when you set an epic to done manually? Could you test this?
In case this happens in both cases I would suggest to check the workflow if there is any post-action on configured.

Looks like the epic status got updated as part of me changing the workflow status to done (as it jumped directly from "to do" to "done" while I was updating through the details page of the epic from "to do" to "in progress" then "done", so no confusion possible on the field I was editing:
And indeed it was a post-function, thank you again.
